On April 30, 2025, Jaguar Health, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing initial proof-of-concept results related to crofelemer.
The press release, which is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K, is incorporated herein by reference. The information in this Item 7.01 and Exhibit 99.1 is being furnished and shall not be deemed to be “filed” for the purposes of Section 18 of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended, or otherwise subject to the liabilities of that section. On April 30, 2025, the Company issued a press release about the initial results from an investigator-initiated trial proof-of-concept trial of a novel liquid formulation of crofelemer. The results showed crofelemer reduced the required total parenteral nutrition (TPN) and/or supplementary intravenous fluids, collectively referred to as parenteral support (PS) in patients with intestinal failure due to microvillus inclusion disease (MVID) and short bowel syndrome (SBS-IF) by up to 27% and 12.5% respectively. In addition, this data showed that crofelemer reduced stool volume output and/or frequency of watery stools, and increased urine output – an indicator of improved nutrient oral absorption.
