On June 4, 2025, Sagimet Biosciences Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that (i) denifanstat met all primary and secondary endpoints in a Phase 3 clinical trial for the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris conducted by the Company’s license partner Ascletis Bioscience Co. Ltd. (“Ascletis”) in China and (ii) the Company recently initiated a Phase 1 first-in-human clinical trial with a second FASN inhibitor, TVB-3567, that is planned to be developed for acne in the U.S. The full text of the press release issued in connection with this announcement is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K and incorporated herein by reference.
