Item 5.02    Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

Appointment of Matthew C. Cassell as Chief Revenue Officer of the Company

On and effective June 5, 2025, the Board of Directors of First Western Financial, Inc. (the “Company”) appointed Matthew C. Cassell to serve as Chief Revenue Officer of First Western Trust Bank (the “Bank”). Mr. Cassell joined the Bank in May of 2020 as President of Commercial Banking and was appointed Chief Banking Officer in February 2023. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Cassell was the Colorado President for Simmons Bank and held various leadership positions over the last 25 years with local, regional, and national banks.

Mr. Cassell is not related to any member of the Board of Directors of the Company or any executive officer of the Company, there are no arrangements or understandings between Mr. Cassell and other persons pursuant to which he was appointed as an officer of the Company, and he is not a party to any transactions which would require disclosure under Item 404(a) of Regulation S-K.
