Item 2.02.   Results of Operations and Financial Condition

 

The Bancorp, Inc.’s (the “Company”) wholly-owned subsidiary, The Bancorp Bank, National Association (the “Bank”), has learned that one of its business clients experienced a delay in reporting the totality of its fourth quarter 2022 transactions. Accordingly, the Company is releasing this additional information to update the Gross Dollar Volume (“GDV”) information previously reported in its January 26, 2023 press release.

 

The Company’s total GDV, representing the total amounts spent on prepaid and debit card transactions for the quarter ended December 31, 2022, as reported in the January 26, 2023 press release, is being adjusted upward to $29.45 billion from $28.07 billion, reflecting a 19% increase for the quarter ended December 31, 2022 compared to the quarter ended December 31, 2021. The increase in volume will result in fee income not previously included in the financial statements.
